“Dancer and the moon”, είναι ο τίτλος του καινούργιου, όγδοου στη σειρά στούντιο δίσκου που θα κυκλοφορήσουν οι BLACKMORE’S NIGHT από τη Frontiers στις αρχές Ιουνίου, που θα κυκλοφορήσει και σε digipack deluxe edition με bonus DVD που θα περιέχει τα video clip για το “Dancer and the moon” και το “The moon is shining (somewhere over the sea)” και μία εκτενή συνέντευξη του Ritchie Blackmore και της Candice Night.
Στις 6 Μαΐου, θα κυκλοφορήσει ψηφιακά το πρώτο single, “The moon is shining (somewhere over the sea)”.
O δίσκος θα κινείται στο κλασικό, πλέον, ύφος των BLACKMORE’S NIGHT, με jam/folk/new age/prog rock/world music επιρροές και θα περιέχει διασκευές στο “The temple of the king” (τον ΥΜΝΟ των RAINBOW, προϊόν της συνεργασίας του Blackmore με τον μεγάλο Ronnie James Dio), στο “Lady in black” των URIAH HEEP και στο “I think it’s going to rain today” του Randy Newman.
Επίσης, θα συμπεριλαμβάνεται το “Carry on… Jon”, που είναι ένα instrumental tribute στον φίλο του και συνάδελφό του στους DEEP PURPLE, Jon Lord.
